What I Did This Week

This week was busy and fun! I went to a few cool events. On Wednesday, the night started with a summer soiree at Ladurée, where I finally ran into my Internet bud Meghan in real life (the best thing about blogging)! So much fun.

Then I went with Will to the opening party for The White Company’s first US store. Do you guys know about The White Company? (I didn’t). They’re a UK based clothing and interiors store that’s apparently really big over there, and I can see why. The store is gorgeous and I spotted a ton of things that I wanted/needed (new bedding!). I’ll share all of my favorites in a post next week but if you’re in New York you should definitely pop in for a visit.

After that we headed over to Central Park to meet our friend Sarah for the New York Philharmonic’s Concert in the Park – one of those really cool, only-in-New-York experiences. Whew! I was wiped out, especially because then I came home and had to watch The Handmaid’s Tale season finale, during which I cried at least twice and felt emotionally gutted (not that I’m being dramatic or anything ;). Seriously though. What a show, and what a finale. Too many emotions.

Anyway, then last night I went to a really fun book party down in Tribeca thrown by Viking Books in celebration of new summer releases coming from three of their featured authors – Zinzi Clemmons’ What We Lose, Alex Gilvarry’s Eastman Was Here, and Augustus Rose’s The Readymade Thief – all of which sound really good. I met so many nice people and loved hearing the authors talk a bit about their books.

Oh and I don’t know if I mentioned that last weekend I went to the Maiden Home NYC showroom (where I took the pic above) to try out a couch I had my eye on – and I’m obsessed! Pretty sure I’ll definitely be adding one of their pieces to my new space and I can’t wait to share more about that.

Anyway I’m exhausted and guess what – my design internship is confirmed and starting in July! I CAN’T WAIT! And hope to share more about it here over the summer. Have a great weekend!

I want to read everything on Grace’s June reading list!

Love this affordable end table – definitely considering it for my living room.

Is Savannah the new Charleston? (I really want to go!).

The only thing that got me through unpacking (yes it’s ridiculous and I do not care).

LOFT has some great summer stuff right now – I love the color of the stripes on this tie-back tank, and this chambray drop waist dress is soooo cute. I also love the little pleat back detail on this easy breezy dress.

And yes, Savannah is the place to be! As someone who was born and raised there before moving to NYC, let me know if you want any recommendations!

Yes! I didn’t get a chance to see their tableware, really looking forward to going back and taking a more in-depth look…although that might be dangerous for my wallet 🙂

I’ve traveled a lot through the US and in my opinion? Savannah is the most beautiful city in the country. A wonderful city to just stroll through, with some of the friendliest people, most gorgeous homes/gardens and delicious food. What more could someone want?
