Weekend Reading

This weekend will be a mix of work and fun! I have a photography job on Saturday shooting an engagement party on the Upper West Side, and then my boyfriend and I are going on a walking tour of Brooklyn Heights and Cobble Hill on Sunday. We spent a day in Brooklyn Heights a few weekends ago and I completely fell in love with the neighborhood – so charming! After this weekend’s trip I’m hoping to put together a little post for the blog sharing my favorite streets and pretty townhouses. Have a great weekend and here are some links for your weekend perusal!

Who else is getting up early to shop Blair’s Nordstrom collection? (well to be honest by the time it comes out I’ll already have been at work for a few hours but whatever). I can’t say I’ve ever done that before for any fashion collection or collaboration but I’m definitely shopping this collection first thing on Monday. I have a feeling it’s going to sell out very quickly!

Speaking of Blair, I loved this interview with her on The Glossy podcast – what an impressively smart businessperson she is.

An interview with one of my favorite designers.

These holiday cards are so charming! I’ve never sent holiday cards but these make me want to start…it comes as wrapping paper too.

This book just arrived in the mail and I’m beyond excited to dive in!

I really want this parka but I can’t quite decide if I need it…but I probably do, right?

Georgianna Lane’s photography is such an inspiration to me – her pictures of autumn in Paris are magical.

Design drama! Are you following the old House Beautiful? (my two cents: so disappointed with the direction the Instagram has taken…sad to think the magazine might go in the same direction).

This shirt is totally not what I’m in the mood to buy right now (bring on the sweaters and coats!), but I think it’s so cute and I feel like I would wear it a lot in spring!

I love the hand soap from this French company so I’m dying for this candle (loooove the scent of cherry blossom).

I guess I’m on a candle kick…this is so elegant and if there’s any scent I like even more than cherry blossom it’s orange blossom (seriously, the smell of citrus is everything to me).

Dying for this English country home in the Cotswolds…that ivy! I think English interiors are officially my favorite.

Kind of can’t believe that Shopbop still has this sweatshirt! It’s my absolute favorite thing in my closet for fall year after year…I wore it in this outfit post literally four years ago and it’s still a tried and true essential.

One thing I’m excited about – Holiday House opens on Wednesday, October 24th! I can’t wait to visit – I think it’s going to be amazing this year. I’m especially looking forward to seeing Ariel Okin’s bedroom design (I’ve seen some glimpses on Insta and I can already tell I’m going to love it). Two of my favorites from last year’s Holiday House are here and here.
