My love for J. Crew’s field jacket runs deep. It’s comfortable, it fits like a charm, and I love the navy mixed with the gold hardware. It’s made of this great cotton twill material that’s lightweight but still has warmth to it, and it’s somehow sturdy but sort of soft at the same time. It’s such a versatile piece and it just always seems to work! I’m constantly considering buying another just for backup – that’s how much I love it/am afraid J. Crew will discontinue it.

 I’m seriously obsessed with this Clu Too sweatshirt, which is a Shopbop exclusive. I love ruffles, but they can often come across as too girly, so I love how subtle these are – and the fact that they’re on a sweatshirt is really just perfect. I constantly seek out basics with a twist or a little special detail, and this one is a great mix of comfy casual with a little touch of femininity. I actually tried three different versions of this type of type (including this one and this one), before landing on this favorite – third times the charm! (how Goldilocks of me :).
