Over the summer I attended the Ladurée Fall Winter Preview for 2015. Who knew that macarons had Fall Winter previews? Well, they do – and it was so much fun to see what the vaunted French pastry shop has in store for the upcoming months. The presentation was held in their Soho garden and arranged month by month. September and October:

September at Ladurée stores is all about the energy of back to school, fashion, and the adorably chic Parisienne that decorates this month’s special edition box.

This is one of the special pastries for September, the St. Honoré Manhattan, with salted caramel cream, banana, and orange blossom.

This is the coffret (box) for e-delivery of macarons, which the brand recently launched. So far, it appears to be available in a variety of countries (see the list here) but not yet in the US.

I sampled a mini version of the La Pomme pastry above, and it was amazing. It’s composed of cake flavored with cinnamon, Golden Delicious, and Granny Smith compote, salted caramel cream, and vanilla.

November, December and Holiday:

For holiday they have all sorts of yule logs, which are a traditional holiday dessert in Europe.

The green is Marie-Antoinette Pistache, and the pink is Marie-Antoinette Rose.

The large log is called a Bûche, and the mini is called a Bûchelle.

This creation is a “Blanc comme neige,” made of vanilla cream, a mandarin-soaked vanilla biscuit, and meringue flavored with citrus zest. Isn’t it beautiful?

The Bûche and Bûchelle Paéva above are made of sponge cake, almond biscuit, and red berry jam with vanilla mousse and fresh berries.

Ladurée Beauté:

Ladurée’s Beauté collection is an assortment of candles and home fragrances. They will be releasing a new scent called Opoponax for the holidays.
