I wore this outfit on Saturday for brunch at Ladurée with my sister and a friend of ours, followed by a visit to Stick With Me Sweets and McNally Jackson – basically my ideal day! I really wanted to show you guys two things: the Madewell Holepunch Transport Tote, and the jeans.
I’ve been searching for a pair of light colored, lightly distressed jeans for a while now, and these fit the bill. I love the faded blue and the very natural looking distressing on the one knee and the back pocket. They’re a great length and perfect color for spring and summer, plus they’re very comfortable.
There are a ton of tote bag options out there, but I’ve pretty much settled on Madewell’s Transport Tote as my go-to. I’ve had the black one for years and love it, and last year I added this Holepunch version to my collection (I’m pretty much obsessed with anything perforated, so it was a no-brainer). It sold out quickly last year, and I was happy to see that they brought the style back this year, but crazily, it’s sold out again on the Madewell site! Luckily, you can still find it here and here. I can’t tell you how many compliments I’ve gotten on this bag. It’s fun and classic, but the perforations give it that edge and bit of interest that really adds so much to an otherwise plain tote. It holds a ton and it’s very comfortable to carry all day long, as it’s lightweight and flexible. This is my ideal summer bag…I love it so much I’m honestly tempted to buy another one for backup!
