A Few Good Links

Yay for short weeks! The main thing on my mind now: It is so. So. SO HOT in New York! Sorry to be boring and obsessed with weather, but when you live in a place where walking and subways are the main modes of getting around (and getting anything done), it’s definitely in the forefront of your mind. I’m sweatin’ up a storm… not cut out for these temps. Pretty much wish I was still sitting poolside on Long Island like I was last weekend for the Fourth! I’m definitely staying inside in my AC at least one day this weekend and cranking out the Unit 2 project for my interior design course. Speaking of which, next week I’ll be sharing that post I mentioned with my impressions of the course thus far, so look out for that if you’re interested!

Snapchat to follow: Carin Olsson from Paris in Four Months not only takes the most beautiful photographs, but she lives quite a fun and glamorous life in Paris – which, luckily for us, she shares on Snapchat (her username is carin-olsson). Strolling to Parisian parks and coffee shops in pretty dresses and Chanel flats, photographing projects with the likes of Elie Saab, Chanel Haute Couture, and Cartier, attending fun fashion events all over the City of Lights…dreamy. I also love that she consistently expresses how lucky she feels for having such an amazing job, and how excited she is to work with these fantastic brands – her attitude about it is very refreshing!

Loving…this gorgeous floral wallpaper (in both colorways), this starter pack, and this dress (dead ringer for Sézane).

The best new Insta: Another social media account you must follow – @everyoutfitonsatc is focused on just that – chronicling every outfit on SATC. Need I say more? The captions are funny, but also respectful of the fabulous talent that is Pat Field. (Thanks for the heads-up, Alexis!). Fun interview with Chelsea and Lauren, the pair behind the ‘gram, here.

A great gift idea: If you have a friend celebrating a birthday or any special occasion this summer, this roses and rosé combo from Bloom That is such a pretty and sweet gift idea (throw in some rosé candy for good measure and you’re really winning the gifting game!). It’s only available for delivery in NYC and SF, but they have tons of other gorgeous blooms available that ship to other states too.

Design lovers, take note: My favorite show house of the year, the Hampton Designer Show House, is opening soon – eee! It’s in Sag Harbor and running from Sunday, July 24 – Monday, September 5…so, so excited! This year’s house features a roster of talented designers whose rooms I am absolutely overly excited to see – Erin Gates, McGrath II, Serena and Lily, Tilton Fenwick…and so many more. There’s also the Holiday House Hamptons taking place currently, which I think I’m going to be able to see before it closes on July 26. It’s in Water Mill and from what I’ve seen on Instagram, it’s a must-visit.

Trying to eat healthy: My mission to eat a little healthier and do a little less Seamless ordering continues. This week I made this crunchy kale salad from Cookie + Kate and it was pretty good! I want to make these healthy-ish cookies next. I also keep thinking about maybe trying one of those ingredient delivery services like Blue Apron…my sister made me and my brother a meal from there once, and it was delicious. Have any of you tried Munchery? Looks pretty good…I’ll let you know if I try!

Sugar Paper x Target: Did you see that Sugar Paper has a new office collection with Target? Lots of white, gold, and blush pink – document folders, staplers, binders, scissors…there is officially no excuse to have ugly office supplies. This cutie might be my favorite.

A colorful mini home tour: This charming Edinburgh flat is bright, cheery, and full of personality. I love the striped banquette, the dot art, and the de Gournay wallpaper.

Did you hear…that Amazon is opening a physical bookstore in NYC? They already have one in California, and the NYC outpost is reportedly set to open in Hudson Yards (this giant retail development that’s projected to be complete in 2019). I’ll never stop supporting my favorite indie bookstores, but any bookstore opening nowadays is a good thing in my book! (bad pun intended). Should be interesting.

Reading, currently: After Perfect in physical book form, What She Knew on Audible, and The Decent Proposal on my Kindle iPhone app. And if you’re looking for a summer read, don’t miss yesterday’s post!
