I whipped up a batch of Fleur de Sel Chocolate Chip Blondies the other day using this recipe, from my idol Anne Thornton of Food Network’s Dessert First. I was wary about the fleur de sel part (apparently I’m a bit late to the whole salt-on-baked-goods party), so I only sprinkled it on half the batch. But the little bite of salt actually turned out to be really delicious! Folks ain’t lying about that whole “salty and sweet” combination. This is the first time I ever made a blondie and it was pretty much…a chocolate chip cookie shaped like a brownie. Fine by me!
