I’ve never been a big fan of peanut butter cookies, but when I saw this recipe in the New York Times I decided to give it a try anyway. They turned out well! These had a good crumbly but soft texture and a mildly, not overly sweet flavor. To me, they tasted like eating a giant scoop of peanut butter – there weren’t really any other flavors at play. So if you really love peanut butter, you’ll love these! I’m a pretty huge fan of peanut butter myself (I eat it pretty much every day on toast for lunch), so these were a-ok with me, and my family liked them too. They’re easy to throw together as well, which is always a plus!
Crunchy sea salt sprinkled on top (I use Maldon) adds a perfect contrast to the sweetness of the cookies.
