A CuRious Candy Shop

Recently I had the pleasure of visiting Cynthia Rowley’s CuRious candy shop on the second floor of her Upper East side clothing boutique. Charming, stylish places like this are part of why I love living in New York City! CuRious is a candy store full of sweets and fun party favors, but with an enchanted, kind of gothic vibe (along the lines of a Brothers Grimm fairy tale). It almost felt like the dark version of Alice’s Tea Cup. This location is on East 78th street, just off Madison Avenue, and she also has another location down in the West Village on Bleeker. Cynthia did an amazing job designing this candy shop, and it’s not surprising when you consider what a talented clothing designer she is (I was drooling over a lot of the items in the boutique on the first floor). Take a peek inside this dark little wonderland:

What a great idea to create this above her store! The gothic vibe looks amazing – I love the trees and branches everywhere. The designer is quite creative and talented!
