I took a break from Help Me! (which I’m thoroughly enjoying) to read this for book club this weekend. I love me some Curtis Sittenfeld! I’m not totally sure how I felt about it but I’ll be interested to see what everyone says in book club.

I got a manicure for the first time in forever (my nails were so scraggly but they always chip so fast so I kind of hate getting manicures) – I tried to take a picture of the color but apparently it was some sort of custom color they’d mixed? Also please excuse my ugly lobby floors.
Had brunch at Simon and the Whale last weekend and it solidified my theory about brunch in NYC – if you don’t want to wait for hours for a table, go to a hotel restaurant for brunch! The food is usually as good as anywhere else (if not better), the decor is chic, and I’ve found that it’s usually a lot less crowded (maybe the places fly under the radar a little bit because they’re in hotels?).
Popped into The Strand and I didn’t buy anything! I think I deserve a round of applause, haha. PS, if you missed it – all of my favorite NYC bookstores.
That’s exactly how I felt about “you think it, I’ll say it”, lukewarm. Love the nail color! As far as chipping goes, I my nails always chip fast, so I started getting acrylic overlay with my nail and it stretches my manis out for 3.5 weeks 😊
Yes, I liked Prep and American Wife WAY more. And great idea on the acrylic overlay – I have to look into that but I do feel like gel kind of destroys my nails so it’s a bit of a tradeoff! But 3.5 weeks would be amazing!
