Did you guys know that goop teamed up with cb2 to create a home collection? I had no idea until I read about it in this month’s issue of House Beautiful, and I quickly hightailed it over to cb2 to check it out. I found quite a few great pieces! Here are my favorites:
Curvo Pink Velvet Sofa (also in gray).
This piece embodies a mid-century vibe but in a feminine way, with the curvy back, champagne colored legs, and soft blush hue.
I love how minimal this piece is, and yet because of the cozy texture and interesting shape, it doesn’t feel cold or boring.
Another minimal piece that, because of its interesting shape and curvy lines, feels interesting and fresh. It has a clean, modern simplicity that I really like and that feels very Gwyneth!
These dining chairs aren’t my usual thing but there’s something about them that feels really chic and upscale.
Chic and elegant – and dishwasher safe!
I love all things chinoiserie so this rug and dinnerware are speaking to me! Gwyneth sited her time spent living in England as the inspiration for these pieces. The dinnerware is silver-rimmed with hand-applied detailing.
Overall I feel like the collection has a mid-century sensibility married with feminine details and updated for the modern customer. Kind of randomly, a lot of the items actually remind me of pieces I’d see used by one of my favorite designers, Alyssa Kapito. Some of the prices are pretty high for cb2 but hopefully that’s a reflection of the quality! I’m a big fan of cb2 so I’m excited for this collaboration – shop the full collection here.
