Gift Guide: For the Foodies

gift guide 2

For my first gift guide, I’ve rounded up some things that I think, on their own or in combination, would be a wonderful surprise for the foodie or amateur chef in your life!

For the Francophile foodie in your life, there’s Bon Appetit box: a subscription service that sends a box of French culinary delights to your door each month (you can also gift a single box).

Herb scissors – genius invention!

If you really want to go all out – a Kitchenaid mixer is an awesome splurge and a forever item for anyone who loves baking.

Radish print – how pretty are those colors? I love this for a kitchen.

Taste the World – a subscription box that sends you amazing products (cookies, spreads, condiments) from a different country every two months. A Culture Guide is included, which tells you the story behind each item and ways to use it in recipes. You can also gift just one box if you prefer.

My Kitchen Year, by Ruth Reichl – one of my very favorite food writers.

Delicious syrups (made in the USA), from Morris Kitchen, for making craft cocktails.

A subscription to Cherry Bombe, the hippest foodie magazine out there.

Rustic and beautiful measuring cups, for your foodie friend who dreams of living and cooking in the English countryside.

A beautiful recipe box.

PS – if you’re in NYC, Food 52 is holding a Holiday Market Dec 3-20 at Union Square West and 17th street. There’s sure to be TONS of great gifts for foodies at this pop-up…I can’t wait to go!
