Christine Dovey is a blogger and designer that I really admire. She has an amazing style that I find to be instantly recognizable, and is a pro at mixing baroque, antique furniture with modern, showstopping art and sculpture. This mix of Versailles-esque furnishings with ultra modern touches is something that I love and adore. She always throws in a few glamorous details and small touches of pink too, which of course I’m a fan of! I find her style to be romantic and feminine, but still modern and eclectic. Take a look at a few of my favorite of her projects…
This is a home that Christine designed for a Chicago family, which was featured on SMP Living (photographs are by Yazy Jo):
What an amazing little girl’s room! I LOVE the hot, hot pink used for the amazing built-in shelves and window seat. The bed is incredible, and the bedding is adorable as well. I love the mix between the modern neon pink shelves and the super baroque looking bed.
The curtains! I die for that floral print.
Gorgeous wallpaper and mirror.
Love the touch of leopard and the gold curtain rods.
Some gorgeous details from Christine’s own home, also featured on SMP Living with photographs by Ashley Capp:
My favorite chair! And check out those framed wallpaper panels…love, love.
LOOK AT THOSE DOORS! Are you dying?? Also: subway tile. Just yes. But…those doors.
