Happy, happy, happy weekend! I have a family dinner tonight at my favorite restaurant in the city, and then I’m going tomorrow to look at fabric samples for my potential new couch (excited!). This was my first full week back at work after some long-ish breaks and, well, I’m exhausted. I need to spend this weekend working on my design course, which is drawing to a close. I’m on the cusp of starting on the final project, where you put together full designs for a bedroom, dining room, and living room. Lots of work to accomplish! Hope you all have a fun and productive weekend, and if you get some downtime, here are some links for ya:
Loved reading this day-in-the-life of interior designer Paloma Contreras on Arch Digest.
That does it…Monica’s gorgeous post has convinced me that I HAVE to go to Newport!
On that note, an in-depth look at the Coastal Living house that Mark D. Sikes designed there – it’s so good (open through Labor Day!).
Great tips for a visit (or visits) toΒ Brooklyn.
And another great post from Christine…thoughts on the comparison game.
This cracked me up – I need to write it on a Post-It and stick it on my forehead (for both myself and others to be reminded of).
A quick but I think really helpful decluttering tip.
Another look at the One Kings Lane Southampton pop-up that I posted about recently!
Currently reading (and having nightmares about).
Have a great time with your familyπ. I’m going to check out those links!
Thanks Dale!
Thanks for sharing my Newport post! Can’t wait to see what you end up with for the couch π
Thanks Monica! xoxo
I love these posts and I look forward to them every week! Also loving your insta stories, keep them up!!
I’m so glad to hear that, Patricia! Thank you so much for the feedback, it’s really helpful. I love finding fun links for these posts and it’s great to know that you enjoy them. Have a great week! xo
Good luck with your final project! Great link roundup – although I think that book looks too scary for me π
Thanks Charlotte! The book was pretty scary, but not as bad as I thought initially. It was really good!
The Snowman freaked me out too and I read it while on my commute to and from work. They’re making a movie of this starring Michael Fassbender (who may be too handsome for the role – but I’ll still go see it).
Omg yes, I felt so much better reading it out in public than I did when I was reading it in my bed at night! Now I’m going back and reading the other Harry Hole books because I really liked it. And I am SO excited for the movie. Seeing the trailer was what prompted me to pick up the book (I’d heard of it before but didn’t think it would be my thing). I figured it had to be good if Michael Fassbender was in the movie, because he makes such good choices for roles. He’s going to be sooo good in it!
