Tabletop Christmas Tree

Over the weekend I finally got around to getting my annual tabletop Christmas tree. It’s a little wonky, as these NYC sidewalk trees tend to be-but I love it all the same. Mainly because it serves as a holding device for Christmas lights, and who doesn’t love those? I’m still scheming out a way to have fairy lights up all year long…maybe strung along my curtain rod. That’s an idea that’s always floating around in my mind (along with the fear that if I do that, my curtains might light on fire…hence why I haven’t gone ahead with it).

I decorated with just one type of ornament-these petite, sparkly ones from West Elm a few years back. I love that they’re mini, since regular sized ornaments tend to look a little awkward on these tiny trees. While I was decorating (and pretty much nonstop all weekend), I listened to this playlist from Sarah– it’s pretty spectacular.
If only I’d looked as glam as Inslee’s December girl while I was decorating it!

PS-I’m taking a photography class and I just learned that those dots of light you see above from the lights reflecting on the glass frame are called “bokeh.” Pretty, yes?

Eek–your little tree is so cute! We same similar baby ones at a tree stand near my apartment the other day and I really wanted to buy one!

I put up a table top Christmas tree this year & I love it… If you have a small place it the best solution & it gives a festive feeling without taking to much place…

Have a great day & keep counting down until Christmas!!!
