Outfit: Late Summer Dress

blue dress-8427

I recently got this blue dress at a little boutique in Nolita called Baby Blue Line, and I’m in love with it! Usually I avoid little boutiques because they’re often incredibly overpriced and usually I don’t even love the clothes, but something in the window of this shop caught my eye so I decided to pop in – and I’m so glad I did! They really have cute stuff, so if you’re in the Soho/Nolita area, I recommend checking it out (unfortunately, they don’t appear to have an online shop). The dress is made of a really light linen that looks like chambray but feels much lighter, and I just love the simple, chic design. I have to say, it felt nice to get something unique, and in an actual shop, since most everything I buy is online these days from chain retailers like Loft and Gap.

My sandals are Kate Spade and bracelet is old Banana Republic.

This dress was perfect for a day spent in Bridgehampton visiting the Hampton Designer Showhouse – pictures of that to come soon!

What a great find! I am right there with you about how it can sometimes be harder to shop at small boutiques, higher prices and often I think the sizing is less reliable. But when you find great pieces like this dress it is all worth it. So fun to have a piece that is unique, instead of the same J.Crew dress that everyone and their mother has.
But on the other hand, don’t you love all the pieces at Loft these days!
