Most people who are into design love Lonny, but doesn’t everyone wish just a little bit that it was an actual print magazine that you could hold in your hands? Well, interestingly enough, it is! (sort of).
Print issues are available on Mag Cloud, for around 30-40 bucks a pop. People might balk at the price, but actually, the paper and binding used on these is of much higher quality than regular magazines. I think of it less as a magazine and more as a Lonny coffee table book (as my Mom dubbed it)-and when you view it that way, 30 dollars doesn’t seem so bad!
This would make a fantastic present for the design lover in your life-I originally purchased one as a gift for my Mom, and she absolutely loved it. The only unfortunate thing is that no issues published past September/October 2011 are available (whyyy?). It really is too bad, because it’s just so nice to have an actual physical copy of the magazine to flip through for inspiration. It’s so cool to see all of the lovely details up close, on paper. Here’s hoping that they start making the later issues available-and in the meantime, I’ll just continue collecting the ones that are!
