Designer I Love: Kapito Muller Interiors

Remember back in 2014 when I interviewed interior design duo Kapito Muller about their absolutely stunning Ladies Office in that years’ Holiday House? Well, I was pleased to discover recently that their portfolio has grown quite a bit since that time! The spaces the two design seem to me to strike perfect balances between opposites. Their designs feel timeless, yet fresh…feminine, yet gender-neutral…sophisticated, yet youthful.  I’m absolutely obsessed with their aesthetic and consistently love every bit of work they do. Here are some favorites:

This and the first photo are from the Upper East Side ladies office they designed for the Holiday House in 2014. This remains one of my favorite rooms in any showhouse, ever. My Mom agrees I think – and we’ve been to a lot!

This living room the pair designed for a Carnegie Hill apartment feels lively and current. I love the striped pillows.

This room feels sophisticated and I think they included just the right amount of personal items. The built-ins are gorgeous, the rug is a perfect non-boring neutral, and it just all works together so well.

The bookshelves are beautifully styled and I love the masculine chair.

Well first of all, I love that chair, which to me totally makes the space. It’s so modern and yet it really feels in harmony with the warm, clean aesthetic of the room.

Gorgeous, gorgeous finishes in this bathroom.

After so much brass overload these last few years, these silver finishes feel clean, fresh, and modern. Still love brass also though!

Gah! Are you dying over those sheets and that headboard? So, so good! And the lamps too. Amazing. You can read more about this bedroom makeover (and see a before shot) here.

Aside from their gorgeous interior design work, Kapito Muller are also known for their Instagram account, which features peeks into their projects and glimpses into their life on the Upper East Side. Their feed represents their chic but fun aesthetic so well – here are some recent ‘grams I’m obsessed with:
