City Day

The other day my Mom came into the city for a visit, which I always love because we want to go to all the same fun places! Our first stop was Treillage, Bunny Williams’ Upper East Side decor and garden shop, which was decked out for the holidays and smelled amazing.

We met a gorgeous garden statue in the back:

Next stop: the Ralph Lauren store on Madison Avenue. He actually has two stores in the same area, both housed in gorgeous old mansions that look straight out of Europe:

I can stare at that kind of architecture for days.
We admired the gorgeous fall foliage as we wandered around (this is a gingko, I learned):

Eventually we made our way to West Elm where I purchased some fabulous gold rimmed stemless wine glasses. Here they are on my bar tray:

During our travels, we spotted some cool window displays: a crisp black and white striped bow in the Jo Malone holiday window:

And colorful thread spools:

I showed my Mom the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir, an entrance to Central Park that is right across the street from The Guggenheim. It’s one of my favorite parts of the park:
The spectacular view across the Reservior to the West side:

We headed to J. Crew where my Mom spotted this awesome gallery wall:

I used my J. Crew Holiday Rewards card to get myself a little sparkle:

We had dinner at Tipsy Parson where we had to indulge in our favorite Southern soda:

We also passed by Match 65, a restaurant that I’ve been dying to try, mainly based on the cuteness of their signage:

Ah, New York. Never gets old.

Don’t forget to enter for your chance to win the most gorgeous white and gold foil Sarah & Bendrix print!
