Artist I Love: Molly Wright

Snow Day in the City

I discovered the work of Molly Wright when I happened to her mentioned in a Twitter convo between Sarah Tolzmann and Nikki Rappaport – which isn’t really that weird, but for some reason I totally feel like I eavesdropped on their conversation. Anyway, Sarah mentioned her aunt, Molly Wright, is an artist, and knowing that Sarah has excellent taste and artistic abilities, I figured anyone related to her must be worth checking out – and I was right.

And Then She Was Grown

Isn’t her work just lovely? The colors and brushstrokes are beautiful, and they feel poignant, happy, and somehow nostalgic all at the same time. “Snow Day in the City” will be making its way to my apartment very soon if I have anything to say about it! You can purchase Molly Wright’s art on Fine Art America, and learn more about the artist and her work at mollywrightart.com.

  1. Her work is so gorgeous! I like impressionist style art, that’s not completely abstract but has a feel of interpretation.
    Those are beautiful =)
