A Few Good Links

I really liked this 400 square foot West Village apartment tour that I came across on Apartment Therapy this week. By adding a lot of lightly worn-in and vintage pieces, along with personal mementos and nautical pieces, Ashley created a really unique and interesting space that’s small on square footage but big on personality and style. It’s refreshingly different because not everything is brand new, which is so essential for a great looking home (in my humble opinion). My favorite detail is probably the Louis XV settee, found at Brimfield (oh, what I wouldn’t give to go to Brimfield one of these days!).

Ellie of New York On My Mind was kind enough to feature me on her blog last week. You can read the interview here – I’m talking all about my New York City favorites and life in the city. Thanks Ellie!

I have a lot of Everlane sweatshirts and this marled navy one I got a while back is my favorite. It’s really comfy and warm but light enough for the warmer weather (I love wardrobe items that work all year round). They just released a light gray version and I’m very tempted to add it to my collection!

Remember when I wrote about my friend Julie, who started a barre/cardio fitness program fitBallet? Well, Julie continues to impress – she recently released an e-book! It contains workout routines you can do at home, meal plans, and lots of inspiration and motivation from Julie herself. I loved reading it and I think you guys will too! If you’re interested in checking it out, you can use code YORKAVENUE to get 10% off. Also, for New Yorkers, Julie is offering a special on in-person classes. Enter INSIDER at checkout to get a 10 pack of fitBallet classes for $120 (that’s half off!).

I love this original painting by artist Katherine Jury (found via Grace) – black and white abstract art is my thing. It also comes in a more affordable print version.

Did you like The Happiness Project as much as I did? Then you’ll want to tune into this past week’s episode of The Lively Show podcast, where Jess interviews author Gretchen Rubin about her latest book (on my to-read list!).

Hope everyone has a fantastic Fourth!
