Weekend Reading

The mudroom at the Inn at Kenmore Hall in the Berkshires

This weekend I’m off to DC for I guess the first time since 8th grade, when I went for that school trip we probably all took (to the Lincoln Memorial, etc). That was so long ago that I basically feel like I’ve never been, so although most of the time will be spent on family stuff, I hope to be able to get out and explore a little. In other news, I’m starting to really get that fall feeling in New York City…I haven’t spotted many pumpkins or changing leaves yet, but I can feel it coming! And I’m very excited for it.

The photo above it one that I took at The Inn at Kenmore Hall, where I stayed two weekends ago on a trip to The Berkshires. I’m editing more photos for a full post on this magical place, and can’t wait to share! Here are some links for you and I hope you all have a great weekend!

Excited to be shipping out an 11×14 of this print to a sweet customer!

I NEVER have time to make breakfast in the morning (and am always miserably hungry by mid-morning), so I really need to try some of these make-ahead breakfast recipes.

The new Margaux boutique in the West Village looks so pretty (love the photos by Kirsten Francis).

This articleΒ in House and Garden UK has me wanting to paint my apartment pink (uh-oh).

Loved this pattern and light-filled Brooklyn apartment tour.

I love book podcasts so I’m excited to check out this new one – the first episode is a conversation with Sarah Jessica Parker.

Three tips for better conversations.

This bookΒ (already a bestseller in the UK) sounds amazing and, incredibly, is based on a true story. This interview with the author was what got me interested.

I liked Emily’s post about social media and how much responsibility influencers have to be “real.”

The weather is cooling down and so I’m on the hunt for sweaters. Just ordered this in blue and pink from EverlaneΒ – I have the black from a few years ago and really like the weight and shape. I also love this oneΒ and this one but I think they’re a little out of my price range.

  2. Have so much fun in DC! I lived there for five years and loved it. I definitely recommend checking out Ghibellina, Le Diplomate, Kinship, and Ted’s Bulletin (homemade poptarts!)
