Today I wanted to share this living room design board that I put together just for fun. This isn’t going to be the basis for my living room, but I would like to incorporate some of the elements of this into my space. My old apartment was obviously very feminine and very pink and colorful – which are things that I’ll always love, but I’m feeling more drawn to the sophistication and more toned-down vibe of this board. I especially like the rich hue of the sofa and I think the gold legs add a subtle glamorous vibe…I think it looks great with the natural/industrial coffee table, which warms it up a bit and adds a more casual touch. I might do a gallery wall with this vibe (lots of black and white), but truth be told, I know I won’t be able to stop myself from adding lots of color. Case in point, while writing this post I went down a rabbit hole looking for entryway hooks and this is what I’m most drawn to. Sigh. Can’t fight city hall!
Soon I’ll be sharing some more of the inspiration for my new space…oh, and also I found the most amazing vintage piece in my parent’s basement this weekend (they’ve had it forever but I totally forgot about it), and I have the perfect spot for it – so excited to do a little makeover on it and add it to my space!
Can’t wait to see how you decorate your new place! Decorating a new space is so much fun. I had the itch to redecorate my house last fall but that can get so expensive, so i settled for new paint colors, a new area rug and pillows for the couches.
Ahh can’t wait to see this vintage piece!!!
That sofa looks darling!!!
