As the fall and winter seasons descended this year I found myself on the hunt for one particular piece: a cozy, comfy, oversized, chunky knit sweater, in ivory. I tried on a few but nothing was quite hitting the mark, until I had the luck of randomly coming across a Rachel Zoe sample sale at Chelsea Market the other weekend. Pretty exciting for me, because I think sample sales (similar to consignment stores) are a little bit like a treasure hunt – and I was super excited to finally find my chunky knit – for 65% off retail!
This is one of those pieces where it’s probably/definitely not the most flattering thing that I own, but I don’t care because it’s so cozy and warm for winter, and also – elbow patches! I love the mix of knits and the fact that it’s loose on the bottom (so many sweaters are banded on the bottom, which I do not enjoy). I paired it with my rip and repair jeans from Madewell just to keep the look casual and laid-back, but I think it will also look awesome with dark skinny jeans and my 5050 boots (they are so versatile! Best purchase ever). The rip and repair jeans are really comfortable, I would just recommend sizing down.
I love that sweater! Your whole outfit looks so cute & cozy!

We're in the middle of a major cold front and I've been going straight for the warm chunky sweaters too! You look great!
