JG Melon is my favorite Upper East Side spot for a just a simple, consistently great burger and fries. They have a decent sized menu and I want to try some other things, but it’s hard to resist that burger! It feels like a classic New York spot and I can’t recommend it enough. One thing to note is that it is cash-only. And ask for a matchbook!
