Big Gay is a mainstay of New York City ice cream, and my sister and I have been huge fans for as long as we’ve lived here. The Dorothy – vanilla soft serve injected with dulce de leche and rolled in crushed up Nilla wafers – is not to be missed. Their ice cream is different from other soft serve in that it’s at once totally unique and yet evokes this nostalgic feeling, like I’ve had it before when I was a kid. Anyway it’s delicious and a must when in NYC!
