Today I’m thrilled to share another edition of A Few Questions With…featuring Meg Biram, an entrepreneur who runs multiple businesses while also maintaining her personal blog. Meg is the creative force behind the Meg Biram blog and shop, as well as co-creator of the to & from gift guide (along with Katie Anderson), and The B Bar, with Victoria McGinley. The B Bar provides e-books and helpful advice for bloggers (I’ve read three of the books and found them to be really informative), while Meg’s shop offers a well-curated collection of lovely home goods, clothing items, accessories, and more. I love that Meg has forged her own path through her blog and shop, while also collaborating with others to develop various creative projects.
Me: What inspired you to start the Meg Biram shop?
Meg. As a blogger, I’m always finding cool products around the web, and I wanted a way to work in product and collaborate with other designers. A shop solved both of those for me. I can curate amazing products I find in my own shop and collaborate with designers on exclusive products and new products as well.
Meg: My partner at The B Bar, Victoria, and I both were doing a lot of consulting and we were looking for a way to work together to streamline our expertise in the industry and also make it available to everyone.
Me: Which are your most popular items in the Meg Biram shop? Which ones are you most fond of yourself?
Meg: The iPhone cases have by far been the most popular. I’m fond of everything — I don’t carry anything I don’t love myself.
Me: What’s been your favorite or most exciting moment so far since opening the shops?
Meg: Refinery29 ran a feature on the shop, that was pretty cool. And all the blogs that did a feature or have included some of the products in their roundups has been amazing.
Me: How do you manage to balance your time between running two different shops and blogging?
Meg: I don’t know that I’d say there is much balancing. I just work, and keep working, and try to get everything done.
Good news! Today only you can get 25% off in Meg’s shop with code HOLIDAY25, so be sure to head over. And if you’re still working on your holiday shopping list, be sure to check out the Holiday 2013 to & from issue for great gift ideas!
