While I’ve always thought that white-on-white outfits were super cute, I never really thought that I could pull one off. However, I happened to be wearing these white jeans when I went in to Ann Taylor Loft and fell in love with this embroidered sweatshirt top, and in the fitting room I realized that I really liked how they looked together! The reasons why I think it works: 1. The top is more of a cream color, while the pants are stark white, so there’s still some contrast between the two. 2. The top has embroidery and texture, which gives it a more dimensional look.
This top is so perfect for this time of year. It’s light enough to wear now, (especially since the weather has been kind of mild) and yet the pretty embroidery makes it perfect for carrying through into the cooler months. I love the sleeve length and the boxy fit. I’ve already gotten lots of use out of this outfit…I wore it to go to dinner one night, and then again the other day to stroll around Hoboken, snack on cupcakes, and talk my sister into taking outfit pics 🙂
The top also comes in gray and I’m considering going back for that version since I think this was such a good buy. Also love this quilted sweatshirt.
I couldn’t resist matching my nails to my bag…it was just too tempting.
