Leanne Shapton for Jane Austen Classics

I recently (like, half an hour ago) discovered a new favorite Instagram called Bookmusings, created by a former librarian and big-time bibliophile named Michelle. She has all of the most beautiful editions of the classics and has induced in me some serious bookshelf envy. While perusing her feed, I came across a picture of a few Jane Austen hardcovers with beautifully illustrated covers and quickly ascertained that they were special releases from Penguin for Anthropologie. Artist Leanne Shapton created the gorgeous patterned covers, and I’m totally smitten. We all know of my obsession with Penguin Classics at Anthro (evidence here and here), and these are definitely going on my holiday wish list. Available in hardcover or paperback (Persuasion and Northanger Abbey are also available).

I often ponder that…and yet it hasn’t stopped me from having like, three copies each of Pride and Prejudice, Emma, and Sense and Sensibility…and here I am planning on getting more! Nope, I think it’s fine 🙂
