Recently I grappled with the decision to upgrade my old iPhone 4 to the new iPhone 6. I finally decided that since photography is important to me, it would be a wise choice (since the new camera is vastly superior to the 4). It was a bit of a big purchase, but I felt really good about it. Then guess what I did to celebrate? Clumsily dropped it on tile floor and shattered the screen! Well-done, huh? Literally – screen in tiny glass shards. Of course it wasn’t in a case when this occurred, because I couldn’t find one that I liked, and as I told the salesgirl cheerfully, “I never drop my phone!”
ANYWAY, I was able to get my phone replaced (phew). That experience finally prompted me to check outside the usual phone case suspects (Kate Spade and Rifle Paper Co.), by Googling “iPhone 6 cases.” The very first entry that popped up? Case-Mate, a company which I didn’t really know existed. Lo and behold, I discovered a plethora of cases that I loved. Above are my favorites, and I wound up going with the Sterling Case. Although I will admit that it does resemble tinfoil, it also looks like silver flecks, and I love it.
