Mark D. Sikes Coastal Living Idea House: Part II

Back today with a few more shots from the 2017 Coastal Living Idea House designed by Mark D. Sikes!

This bedroom was a favorite. The walls are actually covered in fabric, lending a rich texture for the backdrop, and I love the shade of blue that he chose for the bed. Add to that the brass accents and the desk used as a nightstand and you’ve got a pretty perfect situation going on!

The nightstand is from Mark’s furniture collection for Henredon. On the right, coziest reading corner ever! I love the piping around the chair, it lends such a great detail and is repeated in the piping around the lampshade.

I love the patterned drapes layered over the patterned walls and then the striped chair layered over that! It all works so beautifully together. How cool is that wingback chair too? Such an interesting shape to the back.

The painted ceiling!

Two separate bathrooms – the trim in the bathroom on the right is hand-painted onto the wall. It feels modern and a little sporty, which provides a nice counterpoint to the traditional floral shade.

The chic outdoor space was the perfect finishing touch!

The 2017 Coastal Living Idea House runs through September 4th and is open Thursday-Sunday, 10AM-4PM, and in case you missed it, you can see my first post from the showhouse here!

Isn’t it? I loved all of the small touches, like even on the wallpaper in the other bathroom each little dot had a texture to it…love those little details.
