Grady's Cold Brew

Every day seems to be National Something Day, and today is no exception-it’s National Coffee Day! A happy day indeed, for a coffee addict such as myself. So today it seemed apropos to inform you all of the most amazing, delicious coffee I have ever come across: Grady’s Cold Brew (discovered via Grace).
Grady’s is a coffee concentrate that’s made and bottled in Brooklyn (instant hipster cred, right there). It comes in 32 oz bottles that last a couple of weeks in the fridge, and you mix the coffee with equal parts milk to make your cup. Because it’s cold brewed (instead of being heated then cooled down), it has a velvety, smooth taste with NO bitter coffee notes. It’s also steeped with chicory, (the root of the endive plant), so no sweetener is needed-plus I bet chicory is good for you since it’s a plant. You can find a detailed description of this New Orleans style brewing method on their site
Grady’s is available to order online or in some stores, which you can locate on the website. It was also available at Smorgasburg in Brooklyn over the summer (I got all giddy when I went and saw their booth!)-although I think they’re done for the season.
Grady’s has changed my life. Okay, that’s an exaggeration-but honestly, I love it and sing it’s praises whenever I can. I don’t think I’ve had a cup of hot coffee since I discovered Grady’s, and even though it’s starting to get cold I don’t plan on giving it up. I’ll just bundle up while I drink it.

  1. WOW, you've totally expanded my coffee horizons! I had no idea these bottled goodies existed. I'm a huge coffee girl, too. Love my Illy.

Iced coffee is the best! Sometimes it's worth it to throw on an extra sweater and sip that smooth creamy iced goodness. …Or maybe that's just me. 🙂

Haven't tried this brand before, will look for it in SF!

  3. Totally trying Grady's now. We've bought the Trader Joe's cold brew and it was okay, so I've been on the lookout for another brand!

  6. Awesome I hope you like it! I never tried TJ's…I did try Stumptown's cold brew once, and it was pretty good, but Grady's is my top pick 🙂
