Final Favorites from the 2017 Hampton Designer Showhouse

Summer is winding down and thus, it’s time for the last of my shots from the 2017 Hampton Designer Showhouse! Above, Rachel Florez of Vintage Interior Design Inc. created a woman’s study inspired by glasswork jewel tones the designer had recently seen. The desk is custom and the light fixture is Lladro.

Dallas based designer Jean Liu of Jean Liu Design Inc. created this cute kids bedroom that’s perfect for little ones, and yet still sophisticated. I love the black shiplap as it’s a unique twist on a classic, and I can’t imagine any kid that wouldn’t want to sleep in those cool bunk beds! She even filled the closet with the most adorable children’s clothes.

Raymond Boozer of Apartment 48 created a dynamic and colorful space inspired by the idea of the Amalfi Coast in the late 50s and 60s. He imagined a version of the main character from The Talented Mr. Ripley staying here – “a beguiling young man on permanent vacation”. The colorful wallpaper is Christina Lacroix.

Ranelle Wolf of Wolf Interior Design created a lush and romantic getaway…and created that art you see hanging, along with several other pieces in the room! She wanted her space to be a light and soothing antidote to all of the darkness in the world around us, and I can’t think of a better inspiration for a room than that!

Baltimore Design Group did the master bedroom – look at the dramatic canopy! Also love the steamer trunk used as a nightstand.

This bedroom (remember there were two houses, that’s why there are so many bedrooms!) was designed by Melanie Roy for Garnet Hill.

This brushstroke wallpaper in the bathroom is from Judy Ross Textiles – love it. It looks like grass.

This space was designed by Matthew Frederick – he envisioned it as the sophisticated study for a family beach house.

That art piece is made of candy wrappers so naturally I LOVE IT.

Lillian August senior designers Nancy Galasso and Richard Cerrone designed the cheerful family room in the first house using a plethora of texture and color….

….while Mabley Handler did the family room in the second house in a more subdued palette. They used shades of chambray blue along with washed wood to create a serene space leading into the kitchen.

The comfy, cozy and sophisticated basement lounge by Grayson de Vere.

Ken Gemes Interiors designed the entry hall in one of the houses – love that bench fabric. The hallways and entry foyers were used as places to display gorgeous art.

Last but not least, this lower level retreat created by Sea Green Designs LLC. How fun is that platform bed/lounger thing? I know as a kid visiting someone’s beach house I would have been obsessed.

Cool idea to frame old letters and postcards.

That does it for the 2017 Hampton Designer Showhouse! I hope you enjoyed seeing all of the designs and found some inspiration for your own fantasy Hamptons homes :). I know I did!
