Everlane Happy Hour

Last week I was excited to attend the Everlane Happy Hour, an event held at the brand’s Gramercy showroom to celebrate the launch of their Casual Petra. I was psyched not only because I’m such a huge Everlane devotee, but also because they had artist Danielle Kroll on hand to paint custom watercolors of a favorite item in your bag. Meeting her was a thrill, as I’ve recently become a big fan after discovering her work on Buddy Editions. You may remember from this Instagram that I bought her townhouses print (can’t wait to share it on the blog when I’m done doing a little art rearranging), and I also gave her matches print to my sis for Christmas. She’s such a talented artist and she was really sweet and down-to-earth. At the Happy Hour they had a plethora of gorgeous Everlane items to peruse, and were also serving up cocktails by Tiny’s and the Bar Upstairs. Overall it was a fun event to celebrate a very gorgeous bag! See more pictures and my illustration from Danielle Kroll after the jump:

I had her draw my Warbys. I love how it came out!
How cute is that business card for Tiny’s?

The Casual Petra is a really gorgeous, upscale everyday bag. It’s slouchy (hence the “casual”), and constructed of smooth, high quality Italian leather. It’s big enough to fit everything one might need – in my case, my big, bulky camera, a water bottle, a book, wallet, sunglasses, etc. I think it’s also a great everyday tote because it could elevate any casual ensemble. It’s versatile enough to work for many different occasions, from brunch and a museum to just a casual day of running errands in ripped jeans and a striped tee. No matter what you’re wearing, if you’ve got an Italian leather handbag, your ensemble is immediately elevated, in my opinion! This way you can look stylish with very little effort, and who doesn’t want that?

  2. I held an event here, and it couldn't have gone any smoother. Their event planning staff and manager were excellent. As an event coordinator, they made my job extremely easy.
