I ordered the “tabletop” Premium Fraser Fir, and as you can see, it’s a tad bigger than my tabletop trees of years past. However, it cost the same as those trees, so I think I got a much better value for my money! Also, they do tell you on the site that the tabletop trees are 3-4 feet tall, so I have to admit I wasn’t too surprised when this showed up at my door. It took a little rearranging, but I managed to make it fit. Also, the tree stand and delivery fee were already included in the $79 charge, which was awesome. Best part of all: this tree smells SO GOOD! Every time I walk in my front door I’m greeted by that perfect, amazing Christmas tree smell, which just makes me so happy. Overall, with NYC Trees versus the sidewalk trees, I got a higher quality, bigger tree, a free stand, and free delivery. Better product + convenience…a win in my book!
The only real problem is how woefully unprepared as I was in the ornament department. I have only one string of lights and I only had those mini West Elm glitter ornaments, which are cute, but not really sufficient for a tree this size (I also had one elephant ornament that I use year round just as a little decoration, so that hardly counts). So I ordered two adorable ornaments from J. Crew (currently on sale). I could have run out and bought a bunch of ornaments, but I feel like Christmas ornaments are the kind of thing I want to collect over time, here and there, when I see one that strikes me or my parents give me a few vintage ones, or whatever. I think it would be fun to slowly build a collection, so I’m okay with my two ornaments for now, no matter how goofy it may look!
Other tree delivery options in New York City include Tyler’s Trees and Soho Trees. NYC Trees had the best price which was why I went with them, and again, totally happy with how it turned out!

Nice! It's crazy how different things are just one borough away though. I live in the Bronx and get my trees at Home Depot for around $40 (a 6-7 footer!). That said, I have a car which is beyond helpful. But the Home Depot by Yankee Stadium is not too far from Harlem and maybe more accessible to someone like you (ie 2 stops on Metronorth, a few more on the 4).
So true…everything is so much more expensive in Manhattan!
Love it! I only had my first ever real tree last year. Lol. They smell so great and you don't have to worry about storage after the holidays.
I love real trees! I have a hard enough time just finding storage space for my ornaments and string of lights in my tiny apartment, let alone storing a whole tree! :). Happy holidays!
It's so pretty! I love the smell of real trees, but I HATE having to haul them out… I go with plastic and a scented candle, haha! But it's just not the same 🙂
