Big News!

Hey guys, guess what? I’m moving!

I still kind of can’t believe it. After 7 (!) years living in my little studio apartment on York Avenue, I’m packing up and moving about ten blocks north. It doesn’t sound like a huge change, but it feels like a huge change. I’ll still be on the Upper East Side, just in a bit of a different neighborhood, and, best of all, in a one-bedroom! Woohoo!

I’ve LOVED my studio and there are so many things that I will miss about it, but it’s been a really long time living in one room and I’m very, very ready – for a change, for more space, and of course, best of all, a new place to decorate! I’m so excited to take you guys along for the ride.

So expect lots of apartment decorating content coming up soon! I’ll be sharing a video tour of the new (empty) space on the blog as soon as I get the keys (plus lots more peeks on Insta stories). And of course, I’ll be documenting the decorating process here on the blog. I plan to do it slowly and gradually even though I’m really bursting to get started! But first things first…in the coming weeks I’ll have a final home tour of my current apartment (shot by me :), along with lots of inspiration and ideas for the new space.

I’m super excited for this change and hope you all are excited to follow along with the decorating process! If you have any things in particular you’re curious about or would like to see covered, please let me know in the comments or shoot me an email. Hope you have a great weekend, and here are some fun links:

This cute top is in my shopping cart currently.

A chic toothbrush holder (would be a slight upgrade from the juice glass I use!).

17 books everyone will be talking about this summer (I’m most excited for this).

Saw a friend wearing this cute tassel top on Instagram last night and now I might need it.

Some fascinating New York City history: homes built for healing.

Love this cute and super affordable throw pillow from Nate Berkus (great texture).

A chat with one of my favorite mother-daughter design duos.

Excited to try Glossier’s new sunscreen after reading Grace’s review.

Loving this pretty patterned shower curtain.

Interesting and non-cliche insights into making a career switch.

My current Kindle read – so far so good!

My obsession with The Handmaid’s Tale runneth over – loved reading a bit about the costume design.

Getting psyched for summer – CB2 has some great outdoor items (I like the striped umbrella especially).

Congratulations on your new apartment. I would love to be able to move to a larger space myself, but that won’t be happening any time soon. I know you’ll decorate it beautifully and I can’t wait to see it.

  6. Congrats! Can’t wait to see your decorating tips. I have a one bedroom as well but, sadly, my living room/dining room space also needs to accommodate a photo studio so…um…I really need a 2 bedroom. 🙂
