Fall is officially here, and I couldn’t be more excited! I’m so looking forward to the leaves changing, pumpkins, and all the Halloween decorations on the Upper East Side townhouses.

On another note, I realized I never shared the results of the reader survey (and thank you so much to everyone who took the time to share their feedback). Besides an overwhelming request for more personal posts (which I’ve been enjoying incorporating, and hopefully you guys have noticed), the top topics that you said you like to see are home decor, NYC, and books. Perfect, because those are my favorite subjects to write about!

So I thought a good place to start might be in this space – my Friday links posts…so this week I’ve narrowed them down to those three topics. At first I was like, shoot that’s so narrowing, how am I going to find enough interesting reads to fit those categories? Well, wouldn’t you know it…so many good ones seemed to fall into my lap, and a few of them even intersect across all three topics.

I’m always experimenting with the format of these Friday posts and just kind of waiting to hit on what feels right – feedback is always welcome. Anyway, hope you all have a great weekend!

Gallery walls, artful “clutter,” and inspiration boards…are three of my absolute favorite things, and they came together perfectly in Victoria’s office. I absolutely love what she did. It looks like a real workspace, not overly decorated or staged, and yet it doesn’t feel messy or haphazard. It’s a perfect reflection of her great design instincts, creativity, and signature aesthetic.

Why Won’t Midcentury Design Die?…not that anyone wants it to! But it is an interesting question…what makes it so enduring and such a lasting “trend” that it can no longer even be classified as such? Designers discuss, and their ideas were very interesting.

Paris vs New York…why choose? Even if you can’t hop a plane to Paris, you can visit these places to get a little taste of Paris in NYC.

Something new from Christiane Lemieux (that rhymed)…(formerly?) of Dwell Studio fame. Christiane has been very busy lately… launching a new lifestyle brand, a new textiles line, and recently debuting a beautiful new book that aims to serve as a comprehensive compendium of design and decor fundamentals.

The New York Public Library…recently reopened their Rose Reading Room, and it looks absolutely stunning. I need to make my way down to check it out!

A cool event for chocolate lovers…If I had known about this earlier I would have been sure to include it in my list of upcoming events, but better late than never! This weekend The Big Chocolate Show takes place in NYC. It’s a huge expo of chocolate, basically encompassing tastings, demonstrations, and talks from some of the industry’s heavy hitters. Tickets are available for tasting classes but it’s also open to the public!

A fun discovery…I recently came across quarterlane in my Instagram feed, and fell in love with the concept and execution. It’s basically a curated seasonal box for book lovers that includes three new books, plus a few lovely additional goodies. Their current box, Fall Fiction, includes an absolutely charming bookish print from my one of my favorite artists, Caitlin McGauley. Seriously tempted to get the box just for that. The Aesthete is also so cute and features Christiane Lemieux’s new book! A subscription would make for such a great gift idea.

By the Book…with one of my favorite authors, Tana French. Her new book The Trespasser came out this week, and the New York Times called it “ingenious.” I’m super excited to dive into it once I have some time (which lately, I have not).

This Clu sweatshirt isn’t so much on my wishlist as it is in a box and headed to my door. I know I’m going to get a ton of wear out of it because the gray version is still one of my favorite things that I own (you can see it in action here).

You guys watch Younger, right? It is seriously the BEST show, and part of what makes it so good (aside from the acting, the story, how funny it is…) is the clothes. Did you know that the costumes on the show are done by none other than Patricia Field, of Sex and the City costume design fame? Get a peek at the fab fashions from the show in this fun little video.
