A Few Good Links

It’s HOT in NYC, folks! Instant summer. I’m sticking around the city for Memorial Day, but starting to kind of wish I were heading off to some watery destination. The one upside of staying in Manhattan over a holiday weekend though – the city empties out, making it the perfect time to hit up a normally unbearably crowded destination (by Chloe, I’m finally comin’ for ya!). Here are some links for your long weekend:

How Emma Straub spends her Sundays (super jealous of her floor-to-ceiling bookshelves).

A gorgeous Susan Connor pillow giveaway is happening over on Danielle Moss’s blog – and did you all see her latest home tour on The Everygirl? Sooo pretty and such a great use of neutrals.

Summer seems to have arrived overnight in NYC, and the best part of the season as far as I’m concerned? Summer reads!  I found quite a few to add to my TBR list in this article. The Girls sounds good and kind of creepy, and Underground Airlines sounds intriguing as well.

Another bookish article from the Times – This Summer, Girls in Titles and Girls in Peril. The psychological thriller mentioned, The American Girl, sounds very promising. An American exchange student in France stumbles out of the woods, bloody and barefoot, with no memory of what she’s been through – and her host family has disappeared.

Discovered this adorable baking blog through Carly, and oh my god. Every post is just so lovely and cute! And check out the National Doughnut Tour that the author did with her friend…they traveled the country for two years trying all of the top-rated doughnut joints along the way (um, brilliant idea). Except they missed Doughnut Plant! Egregious omission. #bestdoughnutsever.

Some really beautiful lifestyle photography here.

Olivia looks so pretty in this post…obsessed with her leather skirt and how well she styled it. Polished + edgy perfection.

My Madewell shopping cart is full but I haven’t hit “buy” yet (and I know I shouldn’t, but…) – obsessing over this easy, sophisticated dress, this pretty one-shouldered frock, and these high-rise skinnies.

And by the way, have you tried this? Newly OBSESSED. Just in time for bathing suit season!
